ARTWORK/DIGITAL SPECIFICATIONS
Digital Files We require high-resolution PDF files with embedded fonts. All images within the PDF document must be CMYK and at least 300 dpi. Original Files Where a PDF file cannot be provided, we can also accept original files created using Indesign, Illustrator, or Photoshop. Graphics Save all linked files in TIF format. Colour or greyscale scans should be at 300dpi, line art at 600dpi. Scans should be supplied at the same size and correct resolution as used in the final advertisement. Ensure all external linked files are supplied, with the file, on disk and that they are current (i.e. have not been modified since placement). Digital Photographs When providing images taken on digital cameras, a high-quality image is required. A jpeg with a minimum file size of 2 MB is recommended, which is equal to a setting of “Better” on some cameras. File Preparation Create the dimensions of the document page the same as the actual size of the advert, 297mm x 210mm. Keep all text boxes and graphics entirely within 10mm of the trim boundaries of the page. Please ensure all double- page and full-page adverts contain at least 5mm bleed around each side of the advert. All black text needs to be set at a CMYK value of only 100% Black(K), as black text using all four colours is difficult to register. Large solid blocks/areas of black need to have a CMYK value of 30% Cyan(C) and 100% Black(K) to produce an intense and rich black.

YOU CAN UPDATE THE IMAGE AND TEXT FOR EACH ISSUE ON YOUR DIRECTORY PAGE. WE WILL REQUIRE THE FOLLOWING: One high-resolution image per month. You can repeat the same image for each issue or showcase a new photograph. Suppose you opt for the digital add-on in addition to the print campaign. In that case, you can submit an additional image each month for your digital showcase, so long as it features the same product as being advertised in the print campaign. Please ensure you have the right/license to use any images supplied. Approximately 45 words of text about your company, including an Instagram handle and website address. We offer a complimentary copywriting service, so we are more than happy to put the write-up together on your behalf. If this is the case, please send two to three bullet points about your company. Once we have received your artwork content, our in- house design team will put together a proof inclusive of your image and text, which we will send across to you for your amendments and approval prior to the issue going to print. Please note that slight amendments to text may have to be made in order to keep up with advertising guidelines.
