Menopause Awareness
What is menopause?
Menopause marks a point at which a woman’s oestrogen levels fall to a level at which she has not menstruated for 12 straight months. It usually occurs between the ages of 45 and 55. The period leading up to this threshold, which can last up to ten years and during which a woman can experience a wide range of symptoms from hot flashes and brain fog to insomnia and anxiety, is called the perimenopause.
