Millionair Spring 2025

With just 29 rooms and a Spa with wellness and treatment rooms, indoor and outdoor pools and a restaurant, every guest is guaranteed personal attention. Extended from a working farmhouse, each suite is uniquely designed, featuring authentic Maltese stonework and serene views of the street or courtyard. Days melted away on the shaded terrace, where I sipped afternoon cocktails before the restaurant transformed into a gastronomic hotspot, with a menu that catered to all dietary preferences. Additionally, it was a short walk from the lively town square, where alfresco eateries and bars spilled onto the streets.

The grand Palazzo Parisio is undoubtedly the main attraction in Naxaar and is a delightful respite from the buzzy coastline and city. It is well worth spending a morning enjoying the ornate palace complete with impeccably preserved Art Nouveau and Sicilian Baroque details, gorgeous frescoed ceilings, and stunning gardens. Their afternoon tea is a real treat too! A short drive away, Mdina, the Silent City, is like stepping back in time. This walled town has just 250 residents, making it feel almost otherworldly. Wander through its winding alleys and golden stone buildings during the day, popping into the grand St Paul’s Cathedral, the stunning Palazzo Falson or Mdina Dungeons to hear whispers of its noble past. At night, the atmosphere shifts — locals swear they’ve spotted the Headless Woman of Mdina roaming the streets in a flowing ghonnella, beckoning passersby before vanishing into the shadows.
