Roberto Bolle and Friends Sadler's Wells Theatre
The one and only Roberto Bolle is nothing short of enchanting. There’s a rare alchemy in his presence — effortless grace paired with quiet power — that transforms every movement into magic. Seeing him at Sadler’s Wells on 11 November was a reminder of exactly why he continues to mesmerise audiences around the world. Bolle commands the stage with a captivating charisma, yet it is the constellation of talent he surrounds himself with that makes the evening truly unforgettable.
M i LL i ONAIR
Fumi Kaneko and Vadim Muntagirov of The Royal Ballet dazzled in Grand Pas Classique, while the Vienna Staatsballett’s Margarita Fernandes and António Casalinho electrified the stage with a virtuosic Diana and Actaeon. Together, they created a programme threaded with Bolle’s signature blend of perfectionism, joy, elegance, and emotional resonance, all performed with remarkable energy and precision.
M i LL i ONAIR
Among the evening’s standout moments was Mauro Bigonzetti’s Caravaggio, a contemplative pas de deux with Melissa Hamilton, where Bolle’s partnering was at once tender and deeply connected. The mood shifted seamlessly into Patrick de Bana’s In Your Black Eyes, a solo brimming with vulnerability, tension, and release that seemed to pull the entire audience into its intimate orbit. Yet it was Russell Maliphant’s Two that left the most indelible mark: Bolle, encased in a shifting box of light, moved with sculptural precision and poetic force, a living embodiment of artistry at its peak. In moments like these, it becomes clear why Roberto Bolle remains one of the great interpreters of our time — luminous, commanding, and endlessly inspiring. https://robertobolle.com

A Dialogue Between Nature, Craft, and Contemporary Living Casas Elilula
Have you ever envisioned a place that is more than just a stunning retreat, a sanctuary where creativity, craftsmanship, and mindful living can thrive? Where design feels organic, every detail holds significance, and nature guides the rhythm of the day? Casas Elilula is that place, a family vision realised on the tranquil shores of northern Brazil.
M i LL i ONAIR
Their Story
Their journey began in 2012 when they first encountered Preá during kitesurfing trips. Drawn by the wind- swept beaches, gentle light, and warmth of the locals, they immediately felt a strong connection to this wild stretch of coast, and what started as a love for the landscape gradually grew into a long-term project: to build three houses, one for each of their children. This reflected their shared values of simplicity, respect for nature, and a profound sense of place. It was their younger daughter, Laetitia, who first imagined purchasing the land. Her intuition planted the seed that would grow into Casas Elilula. Their eldest, Elisa, trained as an architect at the Architectural Association in London, and, together with her friend Romain Conti- Granteral, they designed the houses that embody the spirit of Elilula. Surrounded by a circle of young creatives, now known as the Elilula Collective, they bring imagination, skill, and passion to every aspect of the project. Family involvement influences every part of Elilula. Ludovic, their son, created the website that shares their story, while Sam, Elisa’s partner, composed the music that accompanies all their short films. Every detail has been crafted by people they know and love, making Casas Elilula not just a destination, but a family dialogue expressed through architecture, art, and sound.
M i LL i ONAIR
Born from the land, shaped by the wind
So, where is this hidden paradise? It unfolds along the quiet Praia do Preá, where three houses — Casa Eli, Casa La, and Casa Lu — settle softly between the dunes and the sea. Here, the horizon extends endlessly, and life moves with the gentle rhythm of the tides. Each home offers the comfort of self-catering and breathtaking, uninterrupted views of one of the world’s most renowned kitesurfing beaches, where sky and water meet in a shimmering dance of light and motion. Built entirely by local artisans using mud, timber, and palm sourced from the region, the houses embody a perfect harmony of heritage and modernity. Gentle breezes naturally drift through open spaces, woven palm screens soften the sunlight, and the architecture even generates some of its own energy — a quiet testament to how sustainability and serenity can coexist. The atmosphere is calm and natural, never resembling a hotel, inviting guests to feel not merely as visitors, but as an intrinsic part of the landscape itself. Here, every detail — from the texture of the walls to the play of light in the rooms — encourages stillness, presence, and a deeper connection with the surrounding beauty. Inside, every detail celebrates craftsmanship and renewal. Chairs carved from driftwood, lamps woven from fishing nets, and tables shaped by local artisans each tell a story of hands working in harmony with nature.
M i LL i ONAIR
A Place to Belong
The spirit of collaboration flows through the Elilula Collective, a creative platform that unites artists, architects, and thinkers from around the world. Through residencies, workshops, and cultural projects, Elilula becomes a living studio — a space where ideas are shared, and art takes root in the sand. At its heart, they are guided by a few simple principles: to be personal, thoughtful, and respectful — of the environment, the community, and all who stay here. Every architectural choice honours the landscape, employing natural ventilation and solar energy so that comfort and sustainability coexist effortlessly. Here, luxury is understated and authentic: the golden light at dusk streaming through palm shutters, the feel of handwoven fabrics, the gentle murmur of the ocean through open windows. Casas Elilula makes you slow down, rediscover calm, and live in harmony with nature’s gentle rhythm. Through the Address Book — a carefully curated network of local chefs, yoga instructors, and therapists — guests connect directly with the community. No commissions are taken, ensuring authenticity, fair exchange, and meaningful connection. This is more than a retreat; it is a living reflection of family, creativity, and reverence for the earth. A place shaped by the wind, built by hand, and guided by heart. For those seeking authenticity and serenity, this is where design and nature meet — and every horizon feels endless. The houses can be booked individually or together, accommodating up to 20 guests in total — Casa Eli and Casa Laeach host eight, while Casa Lu is designed for four. Sadie Frost The Beauty of Becoming
Words Marcella Martinelli
There is a noticeable calm about Sadie Frost, a quiet confidence that arises from a life lived creatively, authentically, and entirely on her own terms. Sitting across from her, one perceives the gentle energy of someone who has experienced every facet of fame but continues to draw inspiration from everyday life. “I’ve always been curious,” she says with a smile. “I like to create — whether that’s a film, a story, or simply a beautiful space to be in.” Frost’s career reads like a love letter to British creativity. From her breakthrough roles in Bram Stoker’s Dracula and Shopping to co-founding the award-winning cult fashion label FrostFrench, which earned her the British Designer Award at the ELLE Style Awards, she has spent over three decades shaping culture from within. Her style, playful yet precise, nostalgic yet forward-thinking, always reflects her spirit: bold, independent, and quietly romantic. Recently, Frost has discovered a new rhythm behind the camera. Having produced numerous independent films through Blonde to Black Pictures, she has now transitioned into directing documentaries as a freelance filmmaker. Her acclaimed works, including Quant and Twiggy, celebrate iconic women who helped shape modern Britain. Each film is filled with Frost’s empathy, artistry, and deep fascination with the creative process.

You have reinvented yourself in numerous ways, from acting to producing, designing, and directing. How do you choose which creative path to pursue next? I’ve never been someone who makes strict plans; I prefer to let things unfold naturally. As a child, my ambition was to act, but that gradually shifted into a desire to tell larger, more intricate stories, which led me into production. Eventually, I realised that production could feel creatively restrictive, and that opened the door to directing. Everything seemed to develop naturally; opportunities arrived at the right moments when I was prepared for them. I started my own label during a time when I had young children. It wasn’t about reducing my workload but about creating a way to work from home and be in an environment that suited my family. Throughout it all, the common thread in my work has been creativity and storytelling. “Everything I do is about bringing ideas to life, whether through acting, directing, or design. I’ve always followed my heart and allowed creativity to lead the way. Beyond film sets and fashion studios, Frost’s world is rooted in family, friendship, wellbeing, and her passion for animals, especially Cherry, her adorable dachshund (@cherrythesausage), who often accompanies her on shoots. A devoted mother of four, she speaks openly about balance, healing, and the importance of nurturing joy. Her retreat in Gozo, Malta, Amchara, is one of the many ways she recharges and reconnects. “Creativity and self-care go hand in hand,” she reflects. “You have to protect the part of you that dreams.” As our Millionair magazine photoshoot winds down and the crew begins to pack away, one thing is certain: Sadie Frost continues to create, lead, and inspire. Whatever she turns to next will undoubtedly embody the intelligence, elegance, and fearless imagination that have always defined her.
Looking back at your career so far, is there a particular role or project that felt like a turning point for you?
A pivotal moment for me was moving behind the camera. I went back to study, completing a master’s degree at Staffordshire University in film production, with a focus on women in film. Returning to education later in life was bold, but utterly rewarding. Then came the opportunity to direct. To tell stories about women. To bring iconic British female narratives to life. Both the master’s and directing have transformed me, boosting my confidence, expanding my creative freedom, and deepening my knowledge. Knowledge is power, and for me, it has been liberating, proof that creativity and growth have no age limit.

You previously mentioned that yoga is an important part of your life. How has your yoga practice influenced your creativity and overall well-being?
I’ve practised yoga for as long as I can remember, since I was a teenager, partly because of a breathing condition I’ve had all my life. But yoga has given me much more than physical flexibility. It has helped me stay mentally and emotionally adaptable. It brings calm and peace, which are essential in the busy worlds of business and film. For me, yoga is a lifelong practice, part of my daily routine, like brushing my teeth or making a cup of tea. I’ve been committed to it every single day. Yoga keeps me sane, healthy, and youthful. It reminds me to keep my heart and mind open and to live as freely as possible, with compassion and kindness —a daily reminder we all need. When I’m involved in a film project, which can last two or three years, I use breaks to deepen my practice, travelling to India, completing teacher training courses, teaching yoga within the community, or running retreats a few times a year in Gozo at Amchara. Having both careers in harmony, film and yoga, gives me a deep sense of well- being. They complement each other, keeping me grounded, creative, and connected.
With your documentaries, you celebrate women who have shaped British culture. What’s the most inspiring story you have encountered so far?
Creating documentaries about Mary Quant and Twiggy was a wonderful opportunity. Both are iconic British women who paved the way for others, reshaping culture and inspiring generations. When making a documentary, it’s essential to craft the story with sensitivity, to reveal their inner worlds, the events that shaped them, and their emotional journeys, without ever exploiting or sensationalising their lives. For me, this balance comes down to taste, tone, and an organic unfolding of the narrative. I’m not yet sure what my next project will be, but I’m interested in exploring historical male figures to shed light on issues surrounding male mental health. There are also several other iconic British women whose stories I’d love to tell, though I’m not quite ready to share those ideas yet. Alongside this, my next step is to venture into directing fictional feature films.
Being behind the camera must feel very different from being in front of it. How has it changed your perspective on storytelling?
It is incredibly liberating, enabling you to see the bigger picture and tell stories from many different perspectives.

There’s something profoundly empowering about taking an idea and guiding it through every stage, from development to post-production, and ultimately to film festival premieres and beyond. In many ways, making a film is like raising a child: it requires patience, care, and years of dedication before you can finally share it with the world.
If you could step into any film or fashion moment from your career and relive it for a day, which would it be and why?
I would love to travel back to the 1980s when I was involved in the VIVIENNE WESTWOOD show. I was only 16, and they had no idea how culturally significant and incredible Vivienne was. It was a fantastic opportunity. I was just a schoolgirl, and being able to revisit that fashion moment would be extraordinary. I was one of the first models to wear the mini crini and the corset!
Animal welfare has played a significant role in your life. What part have pets or wildlife had in shaping your views on care and compassion?
I have always been a vegetarian and have never put an animal or a fish in my mouth. I find it disgusting how animals are treated, how mass factory farming has taken over, and the cruelty present in the world today; the suffering animals endure is heartbreaking. People need to be educated about what they eat and the suffering caused by the products they use. They should know that the clothes they wear to stay warm or for fashion often involve killing or harming animals. I have always supported PETA and many other animal rights charities. I am now getting involved in helping produce some documentaries on animal rights. To stay informed, I follow relevant pages on social media for news and updates.
Are there specific animal welfare causes or charities you are most passionate about supporting?
Yes, quite a few. @peta @thesavemovement @the_base_retreat_bristol @thecampbeagle @itsjamiescorner
If you could give your younger self just one piece of advice, what would it be?
It would be best not to listen to the haters.

There will always be jealous people who want to be nasty and disrupt your vibe. I used to spend too much time and energy getting upset with such people, but now I realise none of it really mattered, and I was always on the right path!
Do you have a personal motto in life?
Yes, I do, and it comes from an ancient yoga philosophy: "May all beings everywhere be happy and free, and may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and freedom for all."

FrostChakra Bags That Carry More Than Style
By Marcella Martinelli
Sadie Frost has created a sanctuary in the form of a handbag. The designer and yogi, celebrated for her effortless fusion of style and spirit, founded her eponymous brand to unite beauty with mindfulness — and the Chakra Tote was the first expression of that philosophy. It is more than a bag; it is a vessel of intention: timeless yet practical, elegant yet grounded, carrying a subtle energy that seems to settle around you the moment you hold it. “I am Peace. I carry it with me wherever I go.”
M i LL i ONAIR
The Chakra Tote, a universal bag crafted from vegan leather, is designed to align with intention. Sadie’s ethos is rooted in life’s rhythms, the natural flow of energy, and a deep reverence for simplicity. Each piece becomes a meditation in material form, a quiet celebration of serenity, and a tactile reminder that the world need not shout to be noticed. These bags live with you, adapt to your rhythm, and age gracefully, earning their place in daily life without clamouring for attention.
The philosophy behind Frost is as personal as its designs: the world doesn’t need more things; it needs better ones. Every stitch, curve, and carefully selected material reflects stillness over noise, craftsmanship over compromise, and timeless design over fleeting trends. Beauty here is intimately connected to kindness. Frost handbags are 100% vegan, produced in certified facilities that uphold fair labour standards and low-waste practices. From the initial selection of materials to the final hand-tied ribbon on packaging, every step is a conscientious act, proof that luxury and ethics can naturally coexist.
M i LL i ONAIR
The Chakra Tote and the wider Frost collection serve as reminders that elegance can be subtle, powerful, and purposeful. Carrying one is more than holding a bag; it is embodying a philosophy, embracing a rhythm, and carrying a small piece of the calm that Sadie herself fosters in every creation

A Tale of Two Golds Fope's Fluidity and Raspini’s Bold Brilliance
By Marcella Martinelli
M i LL i ONAIR
Italian jewellery has long been associated with artistry, precision, and an innate sense of beauty—but in the hands of Fope and Giovanni Raspini, yellow gold becomes even more captivating. Each with its own creative voice, they bring fresh vibrancy to this enduring metal, showcasing its warmth, radiance, and lasting emotional appeal.
Fope, renowned for its signature Flex’it technology and distinctive woven gold aesthetic, approaches yellow gold with a contemporary softness. Their pieces seem to breathe with the wearer— supple, fluid, and discreetly luxurious. The golden mesh of bracelets and necklaces glows like sun-warmed silk, presenting a modern interpretation of Italian elegance. Fope’s yellow gold is never static; it moves, flexes, and adapts, transforming everyday moments into subtle statements of refinement. The result is jewellery that feels personal and effortless, designed for a life in motion yet grounded in classical beauty.

M i LL i ONAIR
Giovanni Raspini , by contrast, adopts a daring, sculptural approach to yellow gold. His pieces are tactile, expressive, and unmistakably handmade. Hammered surfaces reflect light with striking intensity; chunky chains and architectural cuffs nod to ancient goldsmithing while remaining contemporary and wearable. Raspini’s yellow gold has texture, weight, and presence—items that draw attention without losing elegance. Each design resembles a tiny sculpture, crafted by hand and filled with the spirit of Italian craftsmanship. Fope and Raspini showcase the extraordinary versatility of yellow gold. In one world, it is smooth and fluid; in the other, rich with texture and artistic conviction. Yet both interpretations share a common thread: a celebration of Italian heritage, innovation, and an unwavering devotion to beauty. Rediscover yellow gold not as a trend, but as a timeless expression of light, warmth, and individuality—crafted with the distinctive brilliance only Italy can deliver.

This festive season, Brunello Cucinelli brings the soul of Solomeo to London, unveiling an extraordinary collaboration with Harrods that transforms the department store’s iconic windows into a living tapestry of craft, cashmere, and imagination. From 1 December 2025, the Feelosophy concept—an immersive narrative celebrating the brand’s values and humanistic ideals—will illuminate Brompton Road and Hans Crescent, inaugurated in the presence of Brunello Cucinelli and his family. Feelosophy is more than a visual display; it is a story designed to be felt. Drawing on the essence of Solomeo, it conveys Cucinelli’s enduring principles of dignity, grace, and harmony with nature. At its heart stands Philo, a benevolent griffin inspired by the heraldic emblem of Solomeo. Rendered in soft, pure white —the shade of the brand’s most emblematic cashmere—Philo embodies wisdom, protection, and a love of knowledge. A Visionary Dream You Can Touch
By Marcella Martinelli
Across 21 windows and adjoining spaces, the journey unfolds like a contemporary fable. From the quiet hamlet of Solomeo, where Philo watches over artisans and stone houses, the narrative follows the creature’s awakening, the revival of the village, and its gentle flight across Italy and the world. Suspended on clouds of cashmere, the hamlet ultimately lands in London, where it invites passersby to pause, look upward, and rediscover the power of beauty to inspire wonder. A six-metre Christmas tree—designed as a towering spool of cashmere thread crowned with Solomeo’s emblem—anchors the installation. Twinkling lights evoke a starry Umbrian sky, echoing the house’s belief in dreams as guiding forces. An exclusive selection of menswear and womenswear completes the experience. Cashmere outerwear, refined knitwear, and artisanal evening pieces interpret the story in material form, inviting visitors to enter the world of Solomeo—where elegance is quiet, craftsmanship is sacred, and beauty feels like a shared, universal dream.

Born in Beirut in 1975 and raised amid São Paulo’s vibrant energy, Ara Vartanian was destined for the world of jewellery. A Boston University Economics graduate, he briefly navigated the NASDAQ in New York before answering a louder call: creating jewellery that fuses daring artistry with timeless elegance. Founder of his eponymous house, Vartanian is renowned for daring, iconic pieces—ranging from sculptural Octopus rings and Hook earrings to his signature inverted diamonds. For him, the gemstone remains the star, guiding every line, curve, and silhouette.
With showrooms in São Paulo, Rio, New York, and London’s Mayfair, Vartanian has gained international acclaim. His creations have adorned the likes of Naomi Campbell, Madonna, and other style icons, turning jewellery into wearable art that is bold, luxurious, and uniquely distinctive. His latest 2025 collection continues to blend tradition and innovation. Signature lines like River Chain and Pulsar evolve alongside a bold reinterpretation of the tennis bracelet, crafted in 18k yellow gold and sparkling with white, black, and brown diamonds. Designed for movement, modern sophistication, and the inaugural São Paulo Open, each piece communicates the language of power, elegance, and the raw spirit of gemstones. Dripping in Jewels
Jewels that make a splash. By Susan Foster
What better way to sparkle through the holidays than being dripped in jewels that have major festive-factor—think tear-drop icicle elegance meets gift-wrapped glamour. In all my years of designing jewellery, the curve of a pear-shaped stone has always remained at the top of my list of motifs. I love a pear-shaped engagement ring as it reminds me of the late 1960s, when that shape had a surge in popularity at a time when chic elegant women ruled the social scene - think Truman Capote's swans. When Richard Burton gave Elizabeth Taylor her 69.42ct pear-shaped diamond in 1969, it only exacerbated the excitement of the teardrop shape style.

Also, I've always loved jewels that drip and dangle—it's always made me feel princessy or elegant, or, at the very least, make me want to lengthen my neck and stand up straight (something that my mother would appreciate). Lightweight and wispy pieces such as Tatiana Verstraeten's long diamond rain fringe earrings and Persee's cascading diamond necklace bring an icy-glitter allure to the season's merry style quotient.

Sculpted Time The Art Deco Charm of Patek Philippe
by Marcella Martinelli
The Gondolo by Patek Philippe exemplifies timeless elegance, a watch that effortlessly combines tradition with contemporary design. Crafted in rose gold, its tonneau-shaped case catches the light with a soft warmth, immediately drawing the eye while conveying a subtle luxury that is quintessentially Patek.
Inspired by the Art Deco period, the Gondolo collection has long celebrated geometric harmony and refined lines. This reference continues that tradition with a clean, meticulously detailed dial, complemented by delicately applied hour markers and slender hands that move with graceful precision. Every curve and angle reflects the brand’s dedication to both aesthetic perfection and mechanical excellence. Inside, the movement showcases Patek Philippe’s unmatched watchmaking skill. With meticulous craftsmanship evident in every component, the Gondolo not only keeps time with perfect accuracy but also embodies the artistry of a house that has defined haute horology for generations. Paired with a fine leather strap, the watch sits elegantly on the wrist, offering a smooth union of comfort and style. It is a statement of lasting taste, a wearable heirloom that whispers refinement and sophistication, destined to captivate enthusiasts and collectors alike.

Homebody Redefining Comfort with Style
By Marcella Martinelli
In a world that never slows down, Homebody invites you to pause, breathe, and rediscover the art of dressing for ourselves. The latest women’s wear collection, starring the luminous Rosemary Ferguson, is a masterclass in modern ease—where comfort meets elevated design. This is not conventional loungewear; it is a quiet rebellion against fashion’s relentless pace, a statement of individuality.
M i LL i ONAIR
The collection flows with life rather than against it. Oversized knits in muted pastels, tailored cashmere joggers, and dresses that shift effortlessly from day to night exemplify the versatility essential for modern women, whether working from home, meeting friends, or savouring moments of solitude. Homebody stands out through its commitment to thoughtful design and sustainability. Fabrics are chosen for comfort and durability, merging luxury with responsibility. Each piece acts as a reminder that fashion need not be fleeting; it can be a mindful companion in our lives. Homebody embodies the quiet confidence of someone who recognises that style is personal, not performative. There is a tactile intimacy to Homebody, the kind of clothing you want to touch, fold, and live in again and again. More than just a collection, it is a philosophy: elegance, authenticity, and comfort woven together. Style here does not need to shout; it can whisper—and sometimes that whisper is far more powerful. Homebody is not just about clothes; it is about building a home within yourself, a space where fashion is felt just as much as it is seen.

Arriving into Lamu is like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. Landing in a small prop plane onto the island of Manda, you’re immediately met with a feeling of calm. This sandy island has no cars; instead, you’re taken by boat across the channel to the magical island of Shela. Lamu like no other
We stayed at Peponi, a beautiful, traditional hotel overlooking the sea. The rooms are simple and tastefully decorated in Swahili style — huge wooden beds draped in mosquito nets, polished concrete bathrooms, woven baskets and hammam towels. The hotel also has one of the best restaurants and bars on the island. People gather here in the evenings to sit, chat and meet. It’s mixed crowd, young and old, all happily talking and sipping beautiful cocktails. The pace is slow: bare feet, long flowing dresses, men in kikoys wrapped around their waists, salty hair.

You can sit for hours watching the boats come and go, while camels and donkeys wander up and down the sand. Donkeys are everywhere on Shela — they’re the island’s main form of transport, trotting through the narrow lanes, carrying goods, and adding to the dreamlike feeling of stepping into another time. The day starts early on Shela island, with the call to prayer waking us at 4:50 every morning. We soon drifted back to sleep in the enormous, super-comfortable beds. The sun sets around 6:30pm and the island settles by 10pm. With no cars and no light pollution, the nights are peaceful and beautifully dark, the sea breeze filling the rooms and keeping them cool. There are ceiling fans and no AC, which I worried about at first, but the rooms stay naturally cool and airy.

Wandering into Shela town feels like stepping back in time. The streets are narrow, children play outside, and boutique shops sit alongside local food stores. People smile, greet you warmly and welcome you inside without any pressure. The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly and slow. You can also take a boat to Lamu Old Town, which has a more local, historic feel. Masai warriors sell handcrafted pieces along Shela beach — everything from wood carvings to leather belts and jewellery. The traditional Mozambique dhows offer sunset cruises with food and drinks on board. You set sail in the evening, lie back and watch the sky turn gold before returning to your hotel on Shela island. Seafood, samosas and curries are everywhere here, along with sweet exotic fruits and fresh salads. Come for a few days or come for two weeks — you’ll leave feeling like every bone in your body has softened. Your mind will be clear, your breath slower, your whole pace reset. If there’s one place that truly teaches you how to unwind, it’s Lamu.
