The show kicks off with an immersive look at her legendary 1975 tour with the Rolling Stones—hundreds of intimate, electric shots that capture the band like never before. From there, Early Years and Stream of Consciousness reveal her evolving artistic vision, blending portraits of icons with landscapes, interiors, and historical ephemera. The Wonderland section delves into her extraordinary work in style and fashion. Although Leibovitz never saw herself as a fashion photographer, she kept these images close: “All the pictures belong together,” she says. From early Vogue stories inspired by fairy tales to some of the most iconic fashion imagery ever captured, this chapter is a visual delight.
The exhibition is accompanied by a commissioned film and a tribute publication featuring interviews with collaborators such as Bruce Springsteen, Patti Smith, Gloria Steinem, and Karen Elson. Wonderland is a voyage through Leibovitz’s universe of extraordinary characters, unforgettable stories, and visual magic—“our guide on journeys that we all wish we
could take,” in Anna Wintour’s words. The exhibition runs until May 1st 2026
