Their Story
Their journey began in 2012 when they first encountered Preá during kitesurfing trips. Drawn by the wind- swept beaches, gentle light, and warmth of the locals, they immediately felt a strong connection to this wild stretch of coast, and what started as a love for the landscape gradually grew into a long-term project: to build three houses, one for each of their children. This reflected their shared values of simplicity, respect for nature, and a profound sense of place. It was their younger daughter, Laetitia, who first imagined purchasing the land. Her intuition planted the seed that would grow into Casas Elilula. Their eldest, Elisa, trained as an architect at the Architectural Association in London, and, together with her friend Romain Conti- Granteral, they designed the houses that embody the spirit of Elilula. Surrounded by a circle of young creatives, now known as the Elilula Collective, they bring imagination, skill, and passion to every aspect of the project. Family involvement influences every part of Elilula. Ludovic, their son, created the website that shares their story, while Sam, Elisa’s partner, composed the music that accompanies all their short films. Every detail has been crafted by people they know and love, making Casas Elilula not just a destination, but a family dialogue expressed through architecture, art, and sound.
