Next, I was guided to The Mud Caves, a space inspired by natural thermal caves but reimagined with The Mandrake’s signature sense of theatre. With the flicker of candles casting shadows on warm terracotta walls, it felt almost mystical. Here, Austrian-sourced mineral muds are at the heart of the experience. Each type offers its own unique properties — detoxifying, exfoliating, or deeply hydrating. Mixing and applying the mud by hand was unexpectedly joyful, almost childlike, as I created my own bespoke ritual. As I sat back on the heated stone benches, surrounded by gentle steam, I felt completely present, my skin tingling and my senses alive. When I finally emerged, my complexion was glowing, my body felt deeply cleansed, and my mind was clear.
